Keeping Ourselves Busy

We have had MANY days off from school & work - and it has been cold, so we have been indoors and are about out of ways to entertain ourselves.

Some of the things we have tried....
Hide'n'go seek... more me hiding & him seeking, but whatever works..
trying to manipulate our bodies to see how small of a spot we can squeeze ourselves into
smiling for the camera, although only a half-smile as this was like the 50th picture I had taken
smiling for the camera to hide mommy's face since mommy was too lazy to put makeup on this morning - hehehehe
Well the little one is off now, he just left with his Grandma B for the evening - he has a big day planned tomorrow, he has church in the AM, and then swimming lessons with Grandpa B in the afternoon - we may or may not have any pictures to post from that, but knowing Grandpa B we will definitely have stories to tell!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

We hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We all have so many wonderful things to be thankful for this year - too many to name, but know that each of you are in our thoughts!!

A few pictures from today. We went to the Dillard House, in Dillard, Georgia and let somebody else do ALL of the cooking, serving, & cleaning. All we had to do was EAT!!

Eric's dad, mom, younger brother Patrick, me, Austin, Eric, his older brother Brian & his wife Stacey

Austin's Uncle Brian & Aunt Stacey

Austin holding this REALLY BIG leaf he found on his walk with his daddy.
Austin eyeing his Aunt Stacey's piece of pumpkin pie that she let him eat!! SPOILED ROTTEN!!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

This is picture is from a long time ago, but it is Mommy's favorite one of us!

Hey Dad,

Mom should have written this a few days ago, but you know she has been a little busy...

I just wanted her to say thanks for being such a great dad! I know I make you wake up early on Sundays, ask you to drive me to school, ask you to change my stinky in the pants, demand attention when you walk in the door from work, make you pick up after me, and make you bathe me every night, but I just don't trust anybody else to do these important things for me! You are the best dad & you don't even look 33!!!! I would have pegged you for WAY YOUNGER!! Like 31 or 32!
Hope you had a great birthday dad(Nov. 18)!!!! Glad you got to spend it with me!!!!!!!!
Love,
Austin
A few new pics:

Austin LOVES to wear his daddy's shoes! They are just a little bit big, but still very SCARY in Madison's opinion!
"Now how did Grandad T show me to tie these stringy looking things?"

Happy Veterans' Day

Happy Veterans' Day Grandma & Grandpa B! And how are they celebrating, by caring for their little grandson! Yeah, we went to dinner together last night and during dinner Grandma said "why don't we just take him home with us tonight?" Well, Eric & I won't argue that one! So we had a night off and they have a day with a busy body!!

So a few funny pics - 1) when Austin was little he LOVED to eat green beans out of the jar as in baby food. Now he will not eat green beans, or will he?
Here he is reaching for a green bean.
Here he is eating a green bean.
Oh do you see the satisfaction in his face? The trick? Well, what you can't tell is that I am on one side of a baby gate in the kitchen and he is on the other side of the baby gate in the dining room. If you do this then he WILL eat green beans. But, if you put him in his high chair and put green beans on his high chair table then he will NOT eat them - he is an odd fellow!!!
Then later in the evening, I decided to do some housework! I know I know you are light headed. Well, Austin was SO impressed with the mop that he decided to help mommy clean the dining room floor - what a helpful little dude!

And some women say their kids only help make the messes! HaHaHa - I am training this kid right! NOTE: his father is laying on the couch taking pictures of this activity, thus proving that I may have my hands full with trying to teach my son how to do housework!!! Kidding!!

Driving Skills

As we all know I am not a good driver - not horrible, but not always the greatest. Thus the cause for our obvious concern in Austin's desire to ride/drive cars at such an early age - we hope he does not learn his driving skills from his mother.

But, this week he saw my car keys on the table and grabbed them and took them over to his car, and LOW & BEHOLD the boy took my Jeep key and stuck it into his car's key hole. Note: we have no other keys that go to this car, he simply on his own 1, 2 summation has gotten my car key & put it in his car - pretty cool!

This last picture is his vague attempt to let me know that this photo op is over and it is time to actually drive the car, not just pose for picture - oh is this a face I will see in the future or what?!?
We went house shopping all day yesterday, and found some houses, but nothing where we just stopped in our tracks - we will keep looking.
Have a great week!
