Oh where to start - oh yes, we got SNOW!!! It snowed here last Wednesday night and then again on Saturday - it was AWESOME!! Except for the fact that Austin got sick on Friday night/Saturday morning, so we did not get to go outside and play, but this is the view of the golf course from our front door - kinda cool for us southern folks!!
Since Austin has been sick, we have been camped out at home a lot, and not taking many pictures of his runny nose which has created the need to breathe solely through his mouth, which makes him drool like a Mastif, so in the end, his chin is VERY red and he looks kinda sad, but he is fine and is well enough to go to school tomorrow for more TV time!! That's right!!! They broke my cardinal rule AGAIN!!! And this time I went in swinging!!! Of course, the new director said, oh I didn't let my kids watch TV either - then why in the @#$% are you letting mine!?! I pay you so much money a month, etc., etc., ... We will see where this goes, so far so good, but as Eric said we don't want our kid to be neglected because of this one issue - anywho - we'll see.....
We also now know the beauty of time-out - here the little booger is attempting to sneak out of time out to escape back to the scene of the crime - but his momma is all too close - caught in the act little dude!!
(and NO I do not want to talk about what he is wearing, just be glad the camera did not get any closer, you would see more clearly that he is truly a candidate for pediatric fashion police)
Last but not least, my previous fears about my child not talking enough have been put to rest, as he now talks ALL OF THE TIME!! And all kinds of words & now phrases too!! But his favorite by far is both physical & verbal - he is here signing to his momma for more, yes this is "more, momma, more" to which end he always gets a BIG smile from me and an additional helping of whatever food he has just enjoyed - today it was banana chips.
He is now starting to repeat all kinds of phrases, and of course he also said his first cuss word - thanks to his momma's ex-warden mouth - he not only knew when to say sh-- he also knew how to say it with just the right enunciation!! Oh my mother would be SSOOOO proud!!
He also says bigger words now, like turtle, puzzle, bottle, etc. so all is well, I just have to remember he is a boy and thus not quite as big of a motor mouth as me!!
We are still trying to find a house - found the right area, just need the right place - we'll keep ya' posted!!
