Another Day of Entertainment

Today for our entertainment we kind of got stuck in the bottom of our high chair while playing with our box of "toys" - i.e. Tupperware, baby bottles, and hot mitts and we then explored the underworld of cabinetry; it is amazing how much a baby can contort his own body when he wants to. Hope your day was much more eventful....

Missing Daddy - Part 1

Today we had to find ways to keep ourselves busy so we...
experimented with sticking socks to the wall

played with toys on our toy box - note that a suitcase is our toybox because we are still living in a hotel

took a nap after lunch

and repeatedly said "dada, dada, dada"

We are glad Eric/Dada made it to Georgia safely at 5:30 am with Madison to keep him company

Update

Well, it has been a long while since I have posted, but we have had a lot going on that we just could not really talk about. But all is in motion now, so lets see where we are ... Back in February, I got a job in Atlanta, GA for the Fall 2007 with a University which meant we needed to move. So we a) sold our house

b) celebrated Austin's 1st birthday in a hotel

and c) said goodbye to some old friends.

So ... Eric left for Georgia today and Austin & I will head out there sometime next month. Therefore, so that Daddy can keep up with little Austin, I will be posting pictures and comments on a much more routine basis. Stay tuned to see what our little dude is up to - and we will use this in Georgia to keep our family and friends in Texas up to date with our going ons.

These next pictures are from the first month home.

During this time we got a visit from Grandma & Grandpa Bruder. We also learned how to have colic - it made for a long few weeks!!

These are all from our first week home, including the car ride home, our first bath, andpictures with Cousin Carter, Uncle Scott & Aunt Natalie.

I am actually going to try to put a "chronological" photo record on here so that we have a little photo essay of his first 9 months - this will take some time.

First up, Dad & Austin Cole - 06/19 - we did not quite know what to think of the little guy. Three doctors had to pry him out of my stomach, so he was not too happy about coming out to meet Mom & Dad. We then had to check him out and make sure he had all of his fingers and toes. The last picture is the one that we sent out to everyone.

Do you look at this picture and hear the theme song from the movie Deliverance? We thought he looked cute trying on his new clothes.
