Little Blue Eyes

We got word yesterday that Ansley's hips have developed well and there is not any concern about hip dysplasia anymore.......woo hoo as my mother would say!!!!

This was her reaction...kidding.....

She says "oh my, I guess I don't get to have to get up early anymore to go to see that ol' ultrasound lady anymore, poor me...guess I will just have to start sleeping in late"

Both kids slept in until 8:30 am today, so we are all well rested around here!

Have a good Tuesday.

Trip to the ER #2

Yep, fireplaces are hard....in case any of you were wondering
I was feeding Ansley and Austin was bringing me a book to read while she ate and he tripped; as you can kind of see he hit the back of his head and the cut is about 1/4 of an inch long & about 1/8 of an inch wide. He just needed one staple which you can't really see, but know that he was a trooper and did not even cry when they closed him up.

Ansley did not seem too worried about her big brother, her main concern was that I put her down in the middle of her meal and did not resume her meal for at least another hour....not a very nice momma!
We will keep you posted, but for all of ya'll who have uncovered edges on your fireplaces, cover them up when Austin is around as his head is sure to find it!
Happy Saturday night!

Missing Texas part 2

Oh Lone Star State, where are you now?? Here are a few more memories...nothing much going on in GA, I had to work all week, so no new pictures....I know, sad, I had to work :(

Austin trying to learn how to shift Carter's 4-wheeler. Austin calls all 4-wheelers, "mow grass" because they look like his Grandma & Grandpa B's lawn mower....but Grandad T thought that Austin was saying "more gas" because they sound the same when pronounced by Austin, so of course Grandad T had to provide Austin with said request and in turn would go faster!!

Carter & Austin trying to put worms on the hook - kidding!!

Grandad & Nanny's water garden....surviving the West Texas sun!

Horses who decided to say hi to Austin, he was super excited!! He said "ney horsy ney"

Ansley hanging out with Nanny....one of the few times Ansley was awake the whole weekend

Cousins eating chicken nuggets; Austin keeps talking about Cousin Carcar and saying how he wants to go to Nanny & Grandad's house. Seems he has Texas fever!!

Texas!!! We miss ya'll already...

Well, we got home a few hours ago and took Austin to see his Grandma & Grandpa B so that we could catch up on our sleep .... we drove over night there & back to Texas, we went on Wednesday night and then left Sunday night...all in all an AWESOME weekend filled with family, friends & food!!! I miss Texas ;(

Austin showing his excitement before we pull out of Eric's dealership on our way to Texas....we rented a minivan and it was great; you could put the seats down on one side and so we would take turns driving/sleeping while the kids slept overnight - worked out really well!!

Not many pictures of Ansley, as this is how she spent her entire weekend!

Austin showing Grandad that he wanted to be outside for all 4 days, do not make me come inside grandad (pronounced dandad)

We went out to put a new spray of flowers on my mom's headstone for my grandmother and Austin helped to put her shells back up - such a big helper!
This big ole' jack rabbit was hanging out in the family cemetery plot and Austin LOVED the bunny!!

This is what Ansley & Eric did most of our vacation; relaxation!!

And the most amazing picture to date for our family....Austin, Grandad/PeePaw & Carter....we have to get this blown up to hang in the boys' rooms
Fishing with Uncle Scott - also known as "waterpay"
Uncle Scott & Ansley - sorry it's Uncle Sot, not Scott!!
Carter & his first fish ever!!! What a catch! FYI that is an AWESOME shirt Carter; I particularly like the color!!

Austin playing in his Cousin Carter's Rhino 4-wheeler - little too big for Austin

Carter showing Austin how to drive - SCARY!!!
Grandad & Nannie's super ginormous "garden spider" - yeah right as Eric said if that lands on anybody, doesn't matter who, they are gonna scream like a GIRL! ha! Thanks Eric!

And the parting shot of Tankersley, Texas.....we hope to make this an annual trip so hopefully an annual parting shot on our way out of town .... we can use it to show how much the kids are growing
Lots of pictures & lots of new memories, thanks everybody....see you in December!
